LA Rock Show

The LA Rock Show is a concept that Taro O’Sullivan and Mario Marrufo have been working on since before the pandemic. Having played some of the legendary clubs of the day, Taro in San Francisco, and Mario in Los Angeles, they missed the days when there were plenty of venues offering quality live music with state-of-the-art sound equipment.  These days, most venues are small bars, and the sound systems are supplied by the band. They wanted to bring back that big sound, using a wall of speakers and that warm analogue sound that was commonplace in the decades past. So, they set out to create what became The LA Rock Show.

 

“Our goal is to play songs that are not often played these days yet highlight the music of the classic rock era.”

“A Brief History of Rock and Roll” 2025 Tour features great rock and roll songs using the following guiding principles:

 

1. It is a great rock and roll song that represents a genre or era in the history of rock music.

 

2. The song must be performed and executed so well that it does the song justice. 

 

3. It isn’t a song that everyone plays.

 

We will also play songs that many musicians in the audience might say “are they going to pull this one off?” We’ll let you be the judge of that. Our goal is to entertain you and provide a quality show, using professional sound, stage effects and showmanship. It brings us great  joy to be able to perform for you, classic rock the way it used to be performed.
